My Personal Story
Here’s my story and why I do what I do…
While my career has largely been focused on trauma and PTSD, my passion for helping wives heal from betrayal is a combination of my professional experience and my own personal journey. It’s a path I never thought I’d walk myself.
Here’s my story and why I do what I do…
In 2015, my life turned upside down. I was married and loved my husband. I knew my marriage wasn’t perfect, but it felt pretty close to that for me. And then in a moment, everything changed.
I learned my husband had betrayed me.
The marriage and life I thought I knew were shattered. The security I felt crumbled. Every insecurity inside of me started screaming. And it left me scared and feeling very alone. The more I learned about his betrayal, the farther it pushed our marriage towards divorce.
I know what it’s like to feel hopeless and helpless. As I was trying to find my footing, my emotions were all over the place. I went from fear to anger, shame to sadness, and everything in between.
It was only after we started counseling that I began to see the bigger picture. I started understanding that his choices were not my fault. I watched him embrace the counseling process, and I saw him dig deep to get sober, understand why he did what he did, and how to live with integrity. I embraced my emotions and leaned into my own healing and grieving process as well. Slowly, over time, he began to rebuild the trust that had been fractured.
Today, our marriage is deeper, healthier, and more authentic than ever. It’s not perfect and there are scars, but we have healed and it is good. I love him. I am no longer angry at him. It is possible.
And it’s my own journey that ignited a passion in me to help other wives with similar stories find healing. My personal story coupled with extensive training and experience in the area of trauma gives me the unique skill set to help you navigate the complexities of healing from betrayal – with or without your husband. I offer strength, guidance, and compassion while empowering you to find your voice, trust your gut, set healthy boundaries, and reclaim your worth and value.
Healing is possible. I’m living proof of that truth! There is also the opportunity for deeper personal and spiritual growth than you thought possible. Strength. Freedom. Purpose. Joy. Beauty. Adventure. There is good life ahead for you.
I would be honored to walk this path with you whether through coaching, counseling, Paris retreats, writing, or speaking. You are not alone. Email me or send me a message. I’d love to connect with you.
